AC Shadows Reveals Bizarre AoT Crossover for Holiday Season
In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The mission focuses on "bizarre tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an special katana in addition to multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
